About Us
The Company was incorporated in the name of MODERN NETS LIMITED on 08th August, 1975 and was in the business of manufacturing and marketing of fishing nets made from Nylon Yarn. Further on 17th December, 1981, its name has changed to GARWARE MARINE INDUSTRIES LIMITED.
However, as a result of a severe and long downturn in the Industry, the Company suspended all manufacturing activity in the year 2013 and decided to concentrate its efforts on the Ship repair division, which was already providing a healthy cash flow to the Company as an ancillary business.
The Company presently carries out ship repairs for a few Shipowners and on behalf of other workshops as well.

The Company was promoted by Padmabhushan+6 Late Dr. Bhalchandra D. Garware (Abasaheb), founder of several Garware Companies, on 08th August, 1975 in the name Modern Nets Limited in the state of Maharashtra with the business of manufacturing and marketing of fishing nets made from Nylon Yarn.
Mr. Ashok B. Garware
from 26th December, 1988 to 30th May, 2014 He is the son of Late Dr. Padmabhushan Abasaheb Garware.
Mr. Aditya A. Garware
Since May, 2014 He is the grandson of Late Dr. Padmabhushan Abasaheb Garware.
